As you may already know, South Padre Island now features fireworks on the north beach sponsored by Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island, La Quinta Inn & Suites, and Clayton’s Beach Bar. Now to add to it, on select Saturdays, the Hilton Garden Inn is hosting a hula show from 8:30pm until 9:15 pm, just in time for the start of the fireworks. Ladies Kingfish Tournament 2013 – Aug. 9-11

The 32nd Annual South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce Ladies Kingfish Tournament will be held on August 9-11, 2013, and the committee is expecting a record number of anglers to sign up for this year’s tournament. The tournament is divided into two divisions, Bay and Offshore. Anglers fishing in the Bay Division will vie for trophies in the categories of Redfish, Trout and Flounder, while anglers in the Offshore Division complete in the categories of King, Bonito, Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin. Saturday Summer Firework begin this Weekend!

Firework being on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 9:15pm and will continue every Saturday at the same time through the summer. The fireworks will be best viewable from the Hilton Garden Inn South Padre Island, La Quinta Inn & Suites, and Clayton’s Beach Bar. You can also view the fireworks from Andy Bowie Park.
